Description
Played on a rectangular table with six pockets, blackball is a cue sport that resembles pool. Both solid-colored balls (1–7) and striped balls (9–15) are used in the game, along with the black 8-ball. Using a cue stick, players alternately attempt to pocket the solid or striped balls that are assigned to them. The goal is to legally pot the 8-ball to win after pocketing every ball in their group. Successful play of the game necessitates control of the cue ball, strategy, and accuracy.
